My Nine Favorite Wedding Ideas

Nine wedding ideas I want at my wedding <3

Nine wedding ideas I want at my wedding <3 by alyssajarae featuring CB2

If I told you where I aspire to be in 10 years two of  the things I would say both involve weddings. First being, actually getting married and second is to become a successful wedding planner! For my entire life I have been in love with the idea of being a wedding planner. Helping brides and even bridezillas obtain a perfect wedding day sounds like a amazing career choice for me. Another plus side of being a wedding planner is all of the new ideas I will get for my own wedding.

Pintrest also helps add to my obsessions with weddings. When I am not pinning clothes, i'm looking for new wedding decor ideas. I have multiple people come up and ask me "So whens the wedding?" that is how bad it can get. With all this time spent on wedding Ideas I have come up with nine ideas I will have at my wedding and some I will even suggest to my future clients.
Peonies in my Bouquets
Okay, this one might be a tad bit obvious from my blog name. I love peonies and I think they add a great touch of feminism and are very romantic. All of my favorite bouquets have them in them. Although they are not always in season I believe they are a must have wedding flower. I mean if they are Blair Waldorf's favorite than that is saying a lot. Here are some different peonie bouquet ideas on pintrest!

Dancing Shoes
One of the biggest rules of weddings is to keep your guest comfortable. This current idea is extremely under rated, but will be greatly appreciated.  Having a basket filled with cheap flip-flops to save your guest feet from being in pain is a lovely idea.I believe that every wedding should have a system like this because It keeps the party going.  You can also customize them to add a personal flair. You can even get the flip-flops cheap online at a whole sale website.
Outdoor Wedding
For me personally having an outdoor wedding is a must. Depending on the location I feel like this would add to the intimacy of the ceremony. Although I know I want my ceremony outside I am stuck between two location; a plantation house, a rustic hidden location, or in one of the many green wedding areas in Austin.
Favorite Alter
Sparkler Send-Off
Instead of the traditional rice and flower seeds many couples are handing out sparklers for their big exit. Not only is it extremely fun It is a great photo op. I would love having this at my wedding It gives a playful touch to the ceremony.

Hand- Painted Picture
Having someone paint your wedding while it is happening will create an everlasting memory you will be able to relive every time you see it. This is another fun bridal Idea to consider if it fits in the budget. You have a new painting to start a new life with your husband and you will also have an everlasting memory.

Joint Ceromeny Seating
The hardest part of weddings for guest is assigned seating during the ceremony. It can get awkward and confusing and sometimes does the opposite of joining both sides together. By having signs that tell the guest to pick their seats comfort levels rise. My favorite quote people use is  "Choose a seat, Not a side. We're all family Once the knot is tied." How cute .

Kids Corner
Another genius ideas that weddings that have a few kids on their guest list should have is a kids section. I have a million ideas of how to make this enjoyable for kids. Parent will also thank you for including their children. For party favors have coloring books themed after the wedding. In the kids corner have a movie playing like cindrella to go along with the wedding theme. Here is some ideas of what to include for the kiddos

.
#Selfie (Photo Booth)
Photo Booths are a must for every party whether hand made or done by professionals this is always a fun activity. What I love most about the photo booth background above is that It had a ton of fun facts about the couple. Pictures also make a wonderful souvenir.

And last but certainly not least,
Wedding Day Bible

I can not think of a better way to start out a new marriage than with a new bible for both of y'all.

Get a Wedding day Bible and on the sign in table have guests  circle their favorite verses or verses that they use in their relationship/marriage. This bring you are your husband so much closer with your lovely guest.

Thank Y'all so much for reading my blog. It truly means the world. If you read the entire post thank you for bearing with me.

I leave you with this today

Craft Corner: Lilly Pulitzer Initial

Craft Corner: Decorative Initial

Now for the fun part!
Lets get started:

  1. Cut out all of your pictures and patterns you would like to use! To get the Lilly design I used an old planner but you can print your favorite prints from her online! Next time around I plan on using scrapbook paper.
  2. Once you gather your patterns and paper to put on your letter, lay them out to decide where they look the best.
  3. Lay your Newspaper down or anything else to protect table surface. (This can get a little messy.)
  4. Pour a little mod podge on your protective surface and use your paint brush to put a thin layer of mod-podge on the back of your paper.
  5. Stick paper on designated place on your letter and then place more mod-podge on the top to seal its place.
  6. Repeat this step until there is no cardboard space left.
  7. Seal entire project with another layer of mod podge.
  8. Let dry and in a few hours you will have a lovely new project.
  9. If you want to add a hint of glitter, add it after step 7, let dry and then add another coat of Mod Podge.
If you guys end up making this project send me a picture of  the final product to my Twitter or Instagram linked below.
Here is my finished project.

Shop Localy

Today I was sitting and drinking my coffee thinking about a perfect topic for tonight's blog post when my mom said "I love that mug, is it new?" and without hesitation I replied "Yeah! I got it down town at this little store that hand makes them." Then it hit me, why, not do a blog post on shopping local!

In the Austin community we are very big on shopping locally from the farmers markets, to boutiques, to even pet store we take pride in giving our money back into our community to save the small business.Local business also benefit us by raising the economy in our community, creating more jobs, and also the costumer service is usually 100% better. In this post I decided to show you some local Austin products I adore. The good things with most of these products is you can purchase them online!

  1. Eating Local is a huge part of supporting business in the area. In Austin alone we have over 1,400 food trucks around the city waiting to be eaten at. Not only does this give us as consumers a huge variety, it is also over 1,400 jobs waiting till be filled. Personally, there is something about trailer food I love. My favorite being the ever famous Flip Happy Crepes trailer in downtown Austin that is a favorite spot for breakfast or lunch.  With all of the local eatery around, who knows you might find your new all time favorite dish.
  2. Shop Locally. Alright for me I think shopping for clothes, groceries, kids toys, and whatever you need can be done best in a local store. The reason for this is the customer service given is amazing and it makes for an over joyful experience. Usually every shop keeper, business owner, and vendor at the farmers market have a story and are usually very willing to let you in. Recently I met these two wonderful ladies at Starbucks who were sweet as can be and one was actually a jewelry designer here in the heart of Texas. She got a really cool start, read all about it and plan on checking her out on etsy. SarahSidesMadeIt I have already made plans to buy a few things from her like the Gold Pearl Bird's Nest necklace which for the rest of this month 100% of the proceeds go to helping build a school in Kaliti, Uganda.
It is okay if you don't shop locally every shopping trip, but If every one did at least once or twice a week, imagine the wonders we could create in our community.
Thank you all again for reading my blog. It means a lot and I leave you with this today.

Hello lovely followers, I hope your day is going great. One of my favorite holidays of spring is easter, not only for the sentimental value of Jesus rising but also it is always a great excuse to get dressed up in your Sunday best. This year my plans consist of Church in the morning and a family picnic in the afternoon and my goal for this weekend is to find THE PERFECT Easter attire. Above are three of my choices and at the moment I think the top-shirt-heels combo is in the lead.  Which outfit is your favorite? Let me know below?

Spring Favorites

Spring Favorites

Spring Favorites by alyssajarae featuring flower bouquets

Spring is probably one of my all time favorite seasons! Although here in Texas we only experience a few enjoyable days of spring like weather, we do get all of the benefits of spring trends.  This season I have found even more new products and fashion trends I have tried and loved! Here are of few of my favorites for the first few weeks of spring.

1)  The Jcrew Inspired Beaded Rose Necklace
Although this has been a trend for over a year now I still love and wear my Rose Necklaces weekly. They go with an abundance of outfits and are perfect for spring.  Although Jcrew has sadly discontinued this beloved necklace I have found a cheap and reasonable Dupe from Allied Express for $7.88 + FREE SHIPPING! This Website Is literately jewelry heaven I have bought so many goodies from here, the prices are so cheap because it is a wholesale website.

2)  Kendra Scott Neon Earrings Line
This season Kendra has come out with multiple new colors, shapes, and sizes and I must admit I am in love. My first purchase from this line were the Danielle Earrings in Neon Pink at first I was reluctant to splurge on these for the fear that they would not go with anything, but boy was I wrong they go with most of my clothes and our my most commented on piece of jewelry. I suggest picking up something from Kendra Scott’s new line, or even checking it out.

3)  State Themed Shirts
This spring I have been seeing State Shapes everywhere. From Camelbacks, to t-shirts, to even car decals, showing your state pride has become an even bigger trend than before. The reason why I love this trend is because I love my state (Texas) and I love to flaunt it.  I recently purchased a Monogrammed Texas Tank from Navy Anchor Monograms etsy and It has been the perfect tank for errands, or just lounging around. Hopefully this is a trend that last because It is on the top of my list,

4)  Pom-Pom Shorts
Whoever came up with these precious shorts are geniuses. I see these everywhere and the patterns continue to get cuter. These are perfect transitioning shorts and will remain one of my go-to shorts throughout spring and summer. I got my pair on Etsy from a lovely boutique know as ljcdesigns , and plan on ordering my second pair soon.

Thank you guys so much for reading this post and I hope it gives you some ideas of things to add to your spring shopping list. ✿

With that I leave you with this on this Wonderful first day of April.
